About us

For decades, Mouw Hoedliggers has specialized in the production of composite steel beams for construction and utility works.

Our efficient team works from the production site in Ede on the composition and manufacture of various types of beams for orders ranging from 30 to more than 1000 tons.

The ingenious and in-house composite machine park consists of advanced production lines. This enables us to drill, bend, saw and weld steel elements into high-quality steel beams for every conceivable construction in a short period of time.

How we work

Mouw Hoedliggers operates in its own production site in Ede with highly advanced drilling, sawing and welding lines.

We use, among other equipment, a 28-metre assembly line and have a hoisting capacity of 4 x 6.3 tonnes and 2 x 10 tonnes.

For our welding line, we have 4 x 500 AMP, a cutter, tilter, multiple sawing tables and other modern machinery available to produce the highest quality steel beams.

Our history

From a small shed of 8 x 8 metres in Kootwijkerbroek to a hyper modern production company with international ambitions. That was Edwin Mouw's vision when he left school in 1994 - and that is exactly how things unfolded.

Mouw Hoedliggers, which is firmly established on the international map under the name Composite Steel Beams, developed rapidly in the early years by manufacturing products such as concrete moulds and tanks for waste companies.

At the turn of the century, however, its growth continued mainly with the design and production of steel beams for roof structures and multi-storey floors. Mouw Hoedliggers became the specialist in this field and even constructed specific machines to deliver the products even faster. This includes the CNC drilling and sawing line, CNC cutting machine, curving machine, TÜV certified fully automatic welding line and CAD/CAM software. Composite Steel Beams now supplies projects in Belgium, Germany and the United Kingdom.

The ambition to improve and grow remains: the centrally located production site in Ede is already too small to meet the demand. Soon Composite Steel Beams will expand with 4,000 m2 and even more advanced robots will ensure a sleek, extremely accurate and yet affordable production of steel top-hat, plate and castellated beams in any required shape!

Our team

The Composite Steel Beams team consists of close to 30 passionate employees, ranging from calculation and work preparation to sales, cutting and welding specialists.

All our professionals are qualified and work according to the guidelines of ISO certificates 3834-2 and 4063, among others.

Mouw Hoedliggers is EN 1090/ISO 3834-2 execution class 2&3 certified.
